I love my D300. Helps me take such amazing pictures of my baby
So Ankit picked up a Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R. Here’s the first photo shoot. The pix of my Mustang are outdated by 1 day cuz today it got full suspension. Look out for another shoot.
Here’s some much awaited pictures from my trip to India. I’ll be adding more soon. I hadnt got through editing them as quickly as I had thought I would. Was having slow computer issues.
So as a lot of you would know, I had been looking to upgrade my DSLR body because I felt I was ready for something faster. I havent really “used up” my D80. Its only at ~6400 actuations but I figured the new camera will act as my formal shoot camera vs the D80 mated to my 18-55mm I could lug around everywhere else for pedestrian journalist duty. So anyways, as would happen after a long week, I didnt feel like going out at tonight so I decided to put them through their first test to compare them.
Some basic observations, the D300s is a much faster camera when it comes to AF and shutter speed. Its substantially heavier and bigger but feels much less like a “toy”. Its funny that I say that because the D80 to me felt much less like a toy in comparison to the D3000, the D40, 50 and other lower end siblings. Now to my first test, I took 2 pictures of tonights full moon with both bodies mated to the 55-200mm. First reaction off the bat on usage, the 55-200mm is a slow lens and on the D300s it is brilliantly quick in the AF area. As for the pictures, I feel the D300s picture is of far superior quality. Both samples were taken at F8 1/800 shutter at ISO 200.
Let me know what you think!!
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels were performing at the Dobbins Airforce Base here in Atlanta. They’ve been flying around over my place and office for the last 3 days. Here’s some pix.
I picked up the 10.5mm f2.8 and wanted to try it out to see how the interior shots turn out. Since I was going to do that, I decided to shoot the car as well since I hadn’t in almost a year. Here’s the pix.
I had been planning to get this lens for a while. FInally picked it up last night when I also pre-ordered *drum roll* a Nikon D7000. Till that comes in, this will tide me over. I’m going to go and try it out later today. This and my 35mm prime should make for some good shots tonight
Pictures of my apartment in Atlanta. I cleaned it so decided to pick up the camera after a long while. Enjoy
